PEN World Voices Festival

Hey New York writers, looking for a great spring literature event? This week, PEN America presents “On the Edge,” the 10th annual PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature.

More than 150 writers from 30 nations will be hosting and attending a series of panel discussions, debates, workshops, and readings centered on cross-cultural dialogue and freedom of expression.

According to PEN America: “For its 10th anniversary, the festival celebrates those who have dared to stand 'on the edge,' risking their careers, and sometimes their lives, to speak out for their art and beliefs.”

Any event in the fest should provide a great opportunity to network with other writers—and perhaps rub shoulders with the likes of Salman Rushdie and Lydia Davis.
